Thanks for sharing this. It is more of a wide spread problem than most people know. When I was a kid I could not talk plain. I had a speech impediment which made me a target for bullies and other students. By the time I reached high school in another city was developing a procedure called larnyx reconstruction which involved placing an extension on the pallet of my mouth that allowed my larnyx to resonate better and me to talk plain. I was advised to get into music so I joined my churches choir and we went all over the south east to perform and I got to record three albums with with my high school and college choirs. Eventually I studied ministry in seminary and now I am retired but I still preach when I can and am asked to sing solo gospel occasionally. And I was an abused kid. Not by my parents but by bullies.
